Hi, I’m Joanne
I’m a home-educating mum of two and the creator of Print and Play Days.
I started creating printable activities while looking for a way to earn an income from home. I’ve always loved designing little themed touches for our days — things we could play with, use for celebrations, or add a bit of extra fun to our learning.
Over time, that love of creating turned naturally into designing resources to share with other families and educators.
How the Doodle Writing Paper Began
Many of my resources are inspired by my own children — especially my doodle-themed writing paper.
No matter what we were working on, they always ended up doodling somewhere… on their paper, the table, or any spare bit of space they could find! I also noticed how much they loved it when their work looked fun and when it was displayed proudly on the wall.
That’s what inspired me to start creating playful writing pages that make writing feel a little more creative and a little more special.
Why I Create My Resources
Alongside home educating my children, I’ve also volunteered with children’s groups and run activities at our home-education co-op. Through those experiences I’ve learned that the best activities are often:
- simple for adults to prepare
- creative and hands-on for kids
- flexible enough for children to make their own
I love seeing children take an idea and run with it, adding their own creativity and imagination.
